Jessica Notes: Here's a fun technique to get more use out of your stickers. For this project, I used the negative of the Little Black Dress stickers left over from the flourishes on that sheet to get the flourish images on my card. I just cut the negative out, deadened most of the stickiness on the back with an anti-static powder bag, then stuck the negative onto the patterened paper panel. Then I sprayed the negative opening with Tattered Angels mists and removed the masks, leaving the flourish images behind.

Instructions:

For box:

1. Cut teal overlay to fit box top and adhere. Cut ribbon to wrap around box and tie double bow.

2. Cut two doily pennants from overlay sheet. Adhere to box front.

3. Adhere floral pick to bow center.

Cards:

1. Cut four or more pieces of 4 1/4" x 11" kraft cardstock. Fold to make 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cards.

2. Embellish cards as desires. I made mine simple and without sentiments so they could be used for any occasion.

3. For the yellow card I cut a 4"x5 1/4" piece of yellow lattice overlay and adhered to the card front. Add a border of yellow lace, doily, and yellow flower.

4. For the blue & red card: Use washi tape and run along sides and bottom. Add blue flower.

5. For white pennant card: Cut out pennants and adhere to card as shown.

6. For bird card: Cut strip of teal overlay and adhere to bottom. Add a strip of washi tape and birds. Sprinkle sray ink.

Instructions:

1) Mist black cardstock with white mist. Cut a 1/2" strip of silver woodgrain transparency and adhere to bottom of cardstock. Cut border sticker in half and adhere to bottom of layout.
2) Create "snow globes" by cutting circles from red deer and silver woodgrain transparencies. Machine stitch to kraft cardstock, leaving part of it unstitched in order to fill with glitter. After filling with glitter, machine stitch closed and cut around circle with scalloped scissors. Ink edges. Tie larger circle with ribbon. Punch snowflake and layer with plastic doily flower and brad.
3) Adhere large paper doily to cardstock. Layer silver woodgrain "snow globe", red deer "snow globe" and photo. Punch small snowflake and add pearl to center. Adhere to photo.
4) Add title with alphabet stickers. Apply silver pennant rub-on.
5) Adhere border sticker to top of layout. Adhere red deer "snow globe". Trace around border of layout with white gel pen and ink edges with white ink.

1. Punch circles from red and black transparencies. Cut several in half and adhere to top of woodgrain paper to create border.

2. Apply cut 4 squares from the sheet of rubons and adhere near bottom of page.

3. Add three strips of washi tape below rubons.

4. Adhere photos, layering slightly on top of rubons. Add washi tape to pictures.

5. Add several transparency circles, tucking some under the photos.

6. Adhere stickers and wood chip letters to spell title.

7. Add journaling.

8.Place a piece of paper over photos and splatter paint onto page.

Anabelle Notes: I was really excited to get started with the Letterpress Starter kit! There was definitely a learning curve, but now that I've figured out how to use it, I'm sure it will be something I reach for again and again. The starter kit comes with everything to begin. However, the extra printing plates are wonderful additions. I love the holiday themed ones and used them to make this gift bag filled with tags. I plan on making Christmas cards with them, as well, and given the ease of using the system, I know I'll be able to crank out a bunch of them in one sitting.

I thought I'd share some things I discovered while I was playing with the kit:

First, you need a machine to run the plate through. Lifestyle Crafts' machine is called the Epic. But, since I didn't have that, I simply used my Cuttlebug. It worked great!

Next, there is an adhesive backing that comes with each design plate. You lay the plate on it and cut it out. This holds it to the panel as you run it through the machine. I decided to add a bit of Alene's Tack It Over and Over to each one instead. It worked like a charm and was much easier. This adhesive will stick to the plates so I can use them again and again.

Finally, let's talk clean up. The ink is very thick and doesn't come off with soap and water. You do need to use the special cleaner (that is available in the store). However, I discovered that vegetable oil does the trick as well. It's a bit messy, though, so I think I'm going to spring for the cleaner next time.

Overall, the Letterpress System was fun to use and I love the results. I'm sure you'll be seeing more letterpressed projects from me in the future!

Instructions:

1. Paint each layer of the Mini Tree album with off-white acrylic paint. Let dry slighty and sand the edges to distress.
2. Choose desired patterned papers and cover each layer of the tree with coordinating patterns leaving the scalloped edges exposed.
3. Thread ribbon through the tip of each layer and secure with a bow.
4. Adhere chipboard shapes, cardstock stickers, and ribbon to each layer. Embellish with buttons and other smaller chipboard pieces.
5. Coat the scalloped edges at the base of each layer with spray adhesive and lightly coat with a dusting of glitter.

Instructions:

1. Create 3 white tags measuring 3.5 by 5 inches.
2. For each tag add a panel of patterned paper to the middle of the tag.
3. Adhere stickers and ribbon to the top and bottom edges of the panel. Add chipboard or sticker. Top with bow tie.
4. Add a brad to the center of each bow tie. (cut prongs off back)
5. Finish tags with sentiment stickers and tie with white twill.
6. For the pocket, fold green paper in half and stitch edges.
7. Add border sticker.
8. Adhere sticker, brad and gems to chipboard tag.
9. Add tag to pocket and Place tags into pocket.

Instructions:

1. Make card from cardstock.

2. Deaden the adhesive on the butterfly sticker with an embossing buddy or cornstarch, baby powder, etc. Adhere butterfly to card with foam tape.

3. To get the patterned paper strips exactly the same width, trim a small strip from 3 patterened papers (I stacked the papers and cut them all at once), cutting the strips slightly wider than the sentiment sticker. Adhere them together behind the sticker and don't worry about getting the ends even. Then line the side of the sticker up on your paper trimmer to trim each overhagning side down to just the right width.

4. Adhere strip down behind butterfly.

1) Mist white cardstock with silver spray ink.

2) Arrange photos as shown. Cut striped candy cane patterned paper into two 3/4" x 12" strips and adhere at bottom of layout.

3) Adhere chipboard strip and scalloped stickers above and below larger photos.

4) On left page, layer chipboard and sticker snowflakes with various brads, pearls, and chipboard circles. Machine stitch red lines and adhere snowflakes.

Instructions for Candle:

1. Cut doily paper to height of candle. Wrap around outside of candle and with heat embossing tool begin warming candle. Slowly go around entire candle letting paper melt into wax. Adhere leaves and flowers chip stickers.

1. Using a frame from the dollar or craft store cut a square of pattern paper for inside the frame. Cut a square of doily paper and adhere over blue paper. Add rose chip sticker to outside of frame.

Instructions for Card:

1. Cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of pink cardstock, score, and fold to make a card. Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" of pattern paper and adhere to card front. Cut a strip of plain blue paper and adhere to center. Layer chip stickers (frame, leaves, and sentiment).

Instructions:

1. Punch the bottom edge of each brown paper bag using the bow punch.
2.. Embellish each brown paper bag with a strip of coordinating paper that fits just above punched bow.
3. Embellish the top edge of brown paper bag with coordinating trims and ribbons.
4. Attach a border strip on each bag using the die cut borders found at the bottom of the die-cut sheet.
5. Embellish the front of each bag using die cuts, stickers, buttons, etc.
6. Embellish the front of each glassine bag using die cuts or cut from the Bite Size Bits paper.
7. Add stickers, buttons, and die cuts to each and embellish to your taste.
8. Fill the glassine bag with treats, insert into brown paper bags, and share with a friend.

Instructions:

1.Cut strips of blue, orange and darker green papers. Punch edges.
2. Layer the strips onto eachother and adhere to white cardstock.
3. Cut a rectangle of bright pink paper. Punch edges with border punch and adhere over layered strips.
4. Add journaling cards and adhere photo over them.
5 Cut flowers and vines from patterned paper. Adhere, tucking under papers as needed.
6. Add resin whimsies to center of flowers.
7. Add fabric ticket below photo.
8. Add stickers to spell "Me Time".
9. Cut butterflies from paper and add to corners of photo.

Instructions:

1. Create card out of gray cardstock.
2. Create card front from pink pattern paper.
3. Cut a smaller piece of gray pattern paper and mat on red. Attach to pink paper.
4. Wrap ribbon around card front and attach to card.
5. Attach chipboard piece to front of card. Embellish with pearls, stickers and ribbon bow.

Instructions:

Card:

1. Cut a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock, score and fold to make 4 1/4"x 5 1/2" card. Cut a 4"x5 1/4" piece of woodgrain paper and adhere to card front.

2. Cut a strip or orange and blue paper and adhere to left side. Adhere bingo card and ticket as shown. Stamp "happy birthday" sentiment and add die cut car to bottom.

3. Tie twine and button to left side and add "son" sticker.

Bag:

1. Cut a piece of woodgrain paper to fit bag front. Cut blue paper and adhere at an angle. Add orange strip to left side and adhere diamond border sticker to center of orange strip.

2. Add blue car die cut and bingo card to bag front. Tie twine to bag handle. For cupcake cut a circle of blue and orange and layer with car on top. Stick into cupcake with toothpick.

Instructions:

1) Cut two strips wide of farmer's market patterned paper. Ink and adhere to top of layout as shown. Cut ruler patterned paper to fit below and adhere.
2) Adhere large photo to layout. Wrap smaller photo with twine and adhere as shown.
3) Punch leaves from patterned paper. Ink edges and adhere with foam adhesive.
4) Adhere chipboard border below large photo, heart ticket sticker above photo and green ruler sticker on edge of smaller photo.
5) Add journaling on small tag sticker and adhere with foam adhesive.
6) Adhere teal border sticker and date sticker.
7) Adhere "beautiful" sticker to teal label sticker and adhere to top of layout. Adhere chipboard "sweet" and "family" with chipboard alphabet stickers. Place brad on top of "i".
8) Doodle a border around the edge of layout with brown journaling pen.
